Held the third week of August each year, a highlight of the Fair is Saturday morning when 30,000 pounds of real Rocky Ford watermelons, provided by the local business community, are given away to all comers by members of the Rocky Ford Rotary Club.

ARKANSAS VALLEY BALLOON FESTIVAL
The first Arkansas Valley Balloon Festival was held in 1988 and is held each November on the first full weekend. Weekend activities include the Balloon Festival, an art show and a photo contest.

CINCO DE MAYO FESTIVAL
Last year was the 1st annual Cinco De Mayo Festival, packed with Activities, food,music, games, competitions, live entertainment, beer garden and lots of community involvement! This event is put on by the Rocky Ford Chamber of Commerce.

For Years avid hunters have flocked to Rocky Ford, CO in September to enjoy the hunting experience. This year Rocky Ford is hosting the 1st Annual Dove Hunting Festival. Sportsman from all over the State will not only enjoy the dove hunt but eat great food, have a chance to win a trophy in a 5 shot Dove Hunt, and participate in Sportsman and Hunting seminars with experts from around the state. Each hunter will also be able to purchase a Discount Pass full of great discounts on food, hunting trips, equipment and a round of Golf at Rocky Ford beautiful Course at end of the week.

Art shows on the First Friday of each month at the IDEA Place. Local Business stay open late so you can walk downtown and experience Rocky Ford from 5:30-7:00pm.

PARADE OF LIGHTS
The Parade of Lights is put on by members of the community, the Rocky Ford Fire Department, and the Rocky Ford Chamber of Commerce each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Beginning at dark, floats lit up with Christmas lights parade down Main Street starting at the top (Washington Ave) and ending at the Gobin Building, followed by a Christmas Tree lighting and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN MENNONITE RELIEF SALE
Stop by for a weekend of food, fun and fundraising. The Sale has raised over $3,000,000 for the Mennonite Central Committee since it began in 1976.

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY
Every year, all across town, small businesses in Rocky Ford band together and hold an event for the entire community to come out and show their love for Rocky Ford. “Shop Small” and show support for our community and local economy on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
