CITY OF ROCKY FORD REFERRED ISSUE QUESTION _2D_:

“SHALL THE CITY OF ROCKY FORD, COLORADO INCREASE THE

CITY SALES TAX BY ONE PERCENT (1%) PER YEAR FOR THREE YEARS ONLY BY INCREASING THE CITY SALES TAX RATE FROM THREE PERCENT (3%) TO FOUR PERCENT (4%), WHICH IS ONE QUARTER OF THE ANNUAL SALES TAX COLLECTED, TO BE EFFECTIVE FROM JANUARY 1, 2018 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2020, AND RESTRICTING THE USE OF REVENUES FROM THE ADDITIONAL ONE PERCENT (1%) SALES TAX AS FOLLOWS: THE INCREASE SHALL BE USED TO REPAIR STREETS, SIDEWALKS AND OTHER PHYSICAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY ACCORDING TO A COUNCIL APPROVED REPAIR SCHEDULE”.

SHALL THE REGISTERED ELECTORS OF ROCKY FORD APPROVE A SALES TAX OF SIX PERCENT (6%) ON THE SALE OF RETAIL MARIJUANA AND RETAIL MARIJUANA PRODUCTS, ALLOW THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROCKY FORD TO INCREASE OR DECREASE THE RATE OF SUCH TAX WITHOUT FURTHER VOTER APPROVAL SO LONG AS THE RATE OF THE TAX DOES NOT EXCEED EIGHT PERCENT (8%), AND ALL REVENUE FROM WHICH WILL BE COLLECTED AND SPENT BY THE CITY OF ROCKY FORD.

Shall The Registered Electors Of The City Of Rocky Ford Authorize The Licensing Of Retail Marijuana Establishments And Their Operation Within The City Of Rocky Ford, Allow All Medical Marijuana Establishments Licensed Or That Submitted Application Materials To The City Of Rocky Ford Before June 15, 2017 To Add A Corresponding Retail Marijuana License At Their Existing Location, Allow Only Medical Marijuana Centers Licensed Or That Submitted Application Materials To The City Of Ford Before June 15, 2017 To Qualify For A Retail Marijuana Store License, Allow The Hours Of Operation For Stores To Be 8:00 a.m. To 10:00 p.m., And Allow Retail Marijuana Establishments To Become Operational No Later Than April 1st, 2018.
